Get Tux

Want Tux CMS? It's easy to get.

The current public release is v0.1. Download any one of the files below (listed in order of fastest to slowest for download speed).

The current release is tagged as tuxcms-0.1 in Subversion, and is accessible at:

https://tuxcms.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/tuxcms/tags/tuxcms-0.1

Refer to the installation section of TuxDoc for more information on what to do with these files. (Please note that there are certain directories in Tux CMS that must be writeable by the web server).

Updating from Betas and Release Candidates

When updating from betas and release candidates, all you need to do is replace your existing Tux CMS files with the files from one of the newer packages-- there is no need to rerun the installer, or anything like that. However, you will need to refer to the installation documentation to make sure that you properly set permissions on your Tux CMS directories after performing the upgrade.

Updating from the Alpha

The database layout has changed since the alpha release. If you're upgrading from the alpha, the easiest solution for blogs with recreateable data is to drop all of the old tables, and install a fresh version. However, we have also provided an alpha updater script. Simply install this to your blog's root directory, and run it, either via command line or from the browser. If it seems to have failed, the file is well-commented, and you can perform the required operations yourself.
